Because while the planet may be home to billions of people, living there is more treacherous than Leo and his friends could ever have imagined, and their very survival will mean defying impossible odds. This basic storyline is what drew me to the book and made me keep with it. This concept of what is home? The pacing at times is a bit off, but overall, the story made for an interesting and enjoyable read.
